THE HISTORY
The Collective Goulburn operates out of the iconic Knowlman’s Building, opposite Belmore Park. Knowlman’s Department Store was established in 1888 as a family run business and was famously known as the “right store on the wrong corner”. Knowlman’s was the place to go to buy your clothing and where the Knowlman family began a longstanding connection with their local community.
We aim to support the community connection that the family held with locals, by providing a space to build and strengthen our local communities in which we operate.
THE SPACE
The Collective is brought to you by BDCU Alliance Bank and is home to the bank, Harvest Cafe and Co.Workspace. The Co.Workspace is an innovative, design led space, and is available to local entrepreneurs, business people and the community to hire.
It provides the latest technology in a modern newly renovated environment and is a flexible alternative to the home or office. The space offers a shared workspace from hot desks through to dedicated private offices, in a stimulating and collaborative environment.
MEETING ROOMS
If you are looking for a meeting room, we offer two private meeting rooms which are available to hire per hour or for a full day.
POP UP SHOPS
If you have started a business or are looking to take your product to a ready-made market, you should consider The Collective. Each month, a different business gets the opportunity to have a pop up shop next to the busy Harvest Cafe, all for just $20 per day. Why not give it a try?
EVENTS & NETWORKING
At The Collective we like having fun as well as working hard. We host regular events from product launches to workshops that help grow your networks, meet your neighbours and connect with your community.
